    New York State Counties plus many villages and localities in the original Tryon County.

  2. BIOGRAPHIES:
    Individuals of local interest. Most of the histories are indexed for biographical information.

  3. CEMETERY RECORDS:
    New York State Counties plus many villages, cities and townships of the area.

  4. FAMILY GENEALOGIES:
    Over 400 bound genealogies indexed. Family files contain summary information on over 2,400 surnames.

  5. LAND RECORDS:
    1772-1788 Tryon/Montgomery County. Other deeds held at County Clerk’s Office.

  6. DIRECTORIES AND GAZETTEERS:
    1869 Fulton & Montgomery, other counties plus Amsterdam Directories and Board of Trade 1889+.

  7. VITAL STATISTICS:
    Some births, marriages & deaths extracted from various sources.
    NOTE: Birth, marriage, & death certificates available only at state level and town/city clerk’s offices where event took place.

  8. CHURCH RECORDS*:
    Colonial Period through 1950, sundry areas & denominations. Other counties in addition to Montgomery County.

  9. CENSUS RECORDS:
    Indexed 1790 through 1870 for New York State. Only 1850 & 1860 census for other counties in the State. (Several earlier assessment rolls in Historical Files). Slave count -- Towns of Florida & Palatine.

  10. CIVIL RECORDS:
    Transcribed Town Supervisors' Minutes from 1793 to the early 20th century. Highway records, school district meeting minutes, etc.

  11. MILITARY RECORDS:
    Pre-Revolution to Korean War. Some original muster rolls. Most lineage volumes for D.A.R. Journals of soldiers.

  12. HISTORICAL FILES:
    Miscellaneous documents, histories of local people, places, and events.

  13. ARCHIVES:
    Original records from early 1700's through 1900's. Repository of court records (Colonial – late 19th century), historical documents, journals, diaries, family papers, etc.

  14. NEWSPAPERS:
    Extensive holdings of mid-1800s periodicals.

  15. PAMPHLETS:
    Miscellaneous topics, dating to 1800s.
