Montgomery County is home to approximately 3,300 Veterans and their families. The Montgomery County Veteran Service Agency is staffed by an accredited Veterans Service Officer and provides assistance to Veterans and their families with the following:

• Health insurance
• Home loan guarantees
• Real Property tax exemption – contact your assessor
• Military records corrections and military medals and awards
• Blind annuity applications
• Homelessness
• Employment referrals
• Mental health and addiction treatment referrals
• Education and vocational rehabilitation
• Transportation service including wheelchair transport to:
  • Albany VA Medical Center, Mon.-Fri. for appointments 9AM-1PM
  • Fonda VA Primary Clinic, typically Monday mornings
