"Governor Cuomo's fifth budget recognizes the need to further invest in our diverse upstate economy, devoting $1.5 billion to the upstate revitalization fund and providing a jumpstart similar to what the Buffalo Billion did for Western New York. The $500 million for the New NY Broadband program is an important technology upgrade and a big win for upstate. In today's world, access to high-speed internet is especially critical for Montgomery County residents, small businesses and farmers to thrive. Parties from both sides of the aisle came together on this budget and the result is one that puts a premium on the upstate economy."
