Mohawk River Watershed Consortium (MRWC) hosting three community forums

***ADVISORY***

The Mohawk River Watershed Consortium (MRWC) is hosting three community forums to share its newly developed Management Plan. If you live or work in the watershed, this is a chance to learn, ask questions and offer your input.

The forms will take place in the following areas:

  • SUNY Cobleskill-Wednesday, Sept. 10 (6:30-9 p.m.)
  • Schenectady County Community College -Tuesday, Sept. 16 (6:30-8:45 p.m.)
  • Oneida County Farm & Home Center-Thursday, Sept. 18 (6:30-9 p.m.)

MRWC will also be a conduit to funding sources for projects aligned with its overall goals of improving the quality and ecology of water resources, reducing the risk of flood damage, restoring and improving the habitat for fish and wildlife and increasing awareness of human impacts on the watershed and promoting sustainable land use practices.

The public and anyone interested in the Mohawk River and watershed issues related to conservation, flooding, pollution, recreation and economic development is invited to join.
