Starting in January 2007, state law requires members of planning boards, zoning boards of appeals and county planning boards to receive 4 hours of training per year. The Montgomery County Department of Economic Development and Planning and the New York State Department of State, Division of Local Government is sponsoring 3 hours of free training on THURSDAY, MAY 29, 2008, 5:30 pm To 9 pm at FMCC.

5:30 pm- 6:30 pm - How to Conduct Effective Meetings

6:45 pm- 7:45 pm - Municipal Comprehensive Plans
( 1 credit hour)
15 minute break
8:00 pm- 9:00pm - Property Maintenance- Drafting a Junk Law You Can Use
( 1 credit hour)
