“TAKE A BITE OF MONTGOMERY” OFFERS VISITORS GREAT
PROMOTIONS AT BUSINESSES COUNTY-WIDE
Restaurant Week Being Held March 27 through April 2


(FONDA, NY) – Whether it’s a great pizza, delicious tacos, or that doughnut you just
can’t put down, Montgomery County has a flavor all of its own. Later this month, “Take
a Bite of Montgomery” will encourage visitors from across the region and beyond to
patronize the many restaurants, bakeries, and
other establishments that make the community
unique.


Sponsored by Visit Montgomery County, the
County’s tourism initiative, “Take a Bite of
Montgomery” is a campaign promoting local
eateries and encouraging people to enjoy the wide
range of dining experiences offered locally.


“Our communities have many unique establishments that are beloved by locals and are
a ‘must visit’ for out-of-town guests,” said Montgomery County Executive Matthew
Ossenfort. “We are excited to kick-off our second annual restaurant week. This is really a
chance to showcase our County and the great experiences we have to offer. The more
people come here and enjoy the food, the sights and the atmosphere, the more they want
to come back.”


“This is also a great event for residents, because it’s the perfect opportunity to try
something new,” Ossenfort added. “I’m looking forward to trying the wide range of
dishes that are going to be available.”


From March 27 to April 2, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and other establishments
will be offering exclusive deals, special meals and other promotions to customers. Visit
Montgomery County will be highlighting menu options, deals and a behind-the-scenes
look at some of the participating establishments on its social media, using the hashtag
#MontgomeryCountyEats. Patrons are encouraged to take photos at participating
businesses using the same hashtag for the chance to win a prize.You can also email your
food pictures during Take a Bite of Montgomery to tourism@co.montgomery.ny.us to
enter.
