Montgomery County Public Health COVID-19 Update (PDF)
We just wanted to provide some clarification on testing protocol. When an individual is being tested for COVID-19 it is because they are sick with symptoms, have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case or suspect they may have contracted the virus. If you are being tested for COVID-19 there is a chance your result may be positive. Following a quarantine protocol until results are known reduces the potential for you to expose others. If your test result is positive, and you quarantined, that is 2-3 days you protected others from potential exposure to the virus.
However, Healthcare Worker protocol is different and we recommend you contact your employer for guidance. Our goal at Montgomery County Public Health has and always will be to keep our community safe during this time by doing everything we can to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 within our County.
Thank you.
