Recertification Update - Pistol Permit Holders

RECERTIFICATION UPDATE!!!
DEADLINE FOR NYSP RECERTIFICATION: January 31, 2018

The NYS Safe Act requires pistol permit holders with licenses issued prior to January 15, 2013 to recertify by January 31, 2018. The process is easy and is required by law.

Please note:

• Recertification may be done on-line*
• Recertification status for those done online may be checked on the website.
• Recertification may also be done by mailing in a paper Recertification Form.
• Recertification Forms may be downloaded from the website or are available at the Montgomery County Clerk's Office
