Notice to Bidders

Pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, sealed bids will be received by the undersigned for BID #09-07 ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AIR SAMPLING AND ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT MONITOR for the Asbestos Abatement, Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste Handling and Disposal Project, Former Montgomery County Correctional Facility and Montgomery County Office Building Annex, both in the Village of Fonda, Montgomery County, New York.

Sealed bids must be delivered to said office of the Montgomery County Purchasing Department, County of Montgomery not later than 2:00 P.M., Monday April 30, 2007 and will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. in the office of the Montgomery County Purchasing Department.

The Information for Bidders and Proposal for this solicitation (e.g., the Bidding Documents) and the Contract Documents for the separate referenced Project may be examined at the following:

A mandatory pre-bid site walk for this Work will be held on Thursday April 19, 2007 commencing at 10:00 A.M. Prospective bidders are to arrive at the Montgomery County Office Building Annex, 1st Floor, 20 Park Street, Fonda, New York 12068-1500 by 10:00 A.M. Note that this mandatory pre-bid site walk will be held concurrent with the mandatory pre-bid site walk for the separate Asbestos Abatement, Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste Handling and Disposal Project.

A copy of the Bidding Documents for the ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AIR SAMPLING AND ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT MONITOR may be obtained at the office of the Montgomery County Purchasing Agent, Office Building Annex, 1st Floor, 20 Park Street, Fonda, New York 12068-1500 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. at no cost.

Plans and specifications for the separate Asbestos Abatement, Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste Handling and Disposal Project may be obtained at the office of the Montgomery County Purchasing Agent, Office Building Annex, 1st Floor, 20 Park Street, Fonda, New York 12068-1500 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. at a cost of $50.00 (non-refundable). Checks shall be made payable to Montgomery County for each set of contract documents so obtained. No plans or specifications will be mailed without pre-payment of the $50.00 fee (non-refundable) plus $10.00 for postage and handling (non-refundable).

Addenda for the ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AIR SAMPLING AND ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT MONITOR project will be issued only to those persons whose names and addresses are on record with the Montgomery County Purchasing Department, County of Montgomery, as having obtained the Bidding Documents.

Addenda for the separate Asbestos Abatement, Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste Handling and Disposal Project, if any, will be issued only to those persons whose names and addresses are on record with the Montgomery County Purchasing Department, County of Montgomery, as having obtained the contract documents.

The right is reserved by the County of Montgomery to waive any informalities in and reject any or all bids.
