Bid #17-07 - Sale of Scrap Metal.

NOTICE OF SALE OF SCRAP METAL

Notice is hereby given that the County of Montgomery will receive sealed bids for the Sale of Scrap Metal per BID #17-07. The material is located at The Former County Jail, 11 Park Street in Fonda. The material shall be viewed at the above location by appointment. An appointment can be scheduled by contacting the Commissioner of Public Works at (518) 853-3814. All prospective bidders must schedule and attend a site visit.

Sealed bids must be submitted on the County supplied form. Forms will be available at the site visit. Sealed bids must be received, via mail or personal delivery, by the Purchasing Agent at the County Annex Building, 20 Park St. - Room 104, Fonda, NY 12068 on or before 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Any and all bids received after the exact time and date stated will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Timely received bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 P.M. on December 12, 2007 at the Purchasing Department Office, Montgomery County Annex Building, Room 104, Fonda, NY.

The Material will be sold:

IN-PLACE, THE SUCESSFUL BIDDER WILL LOAD AND HAUL THE MATERIAL FROM THE SITE.

The successful bidder will be notified and payment must be made by certified check or money order for the actual tons of material removed from the site.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
