The Town of Glen Volunteer Fire Department Inc. (TGVFD 217) operates in a rural area of Montgomery County in upstate New York, established in 1906. We have 39 active volunteer firefighters with one Fire Station to serve a fire protection district of 40 square miles and provide mutual aid support for 7 surrounding Fire Districts. Our response area has a permanent population of 2,550 plus seasonal visitors who come to tour the historic Mohawk River Valley. Our location is at 42.9062 N, 74.4365W We have multiple membership classifications, min. 16 y/o to join for junior membership, 18 for full membership.
