RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2015 OPERATING BUDGET - 2015 STUDENT UNION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS (FMCC)

WHEREAS, Montgomery County Legislature Resolution No. 286 of 2014 approved the Campus Safety/Critical Maintenance project at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on December 16, 2014 at a budget of $1,000,000; and

WHEREAS, Montgomery County Legislature Resolution No. 287 of 2014 approved the Student Union Improvements Project on December 16, 2014 at a budget of $2,330,000; and

WHEREAS, Fulton and Montgomery County Legislatures awarded several construction contracts for the components of Campus Safety/Critical Maintenance project, the total of which will be significantly under the $1 million budgeted; and

WHEREAS, it is estimated there will be an unexpended balance of $410,000 that will be available at the conclusion of the Campus Safety/Critical Maintenance project; and

WHEREAS, Montgomery County contributed approximately 25 percent (25%) of that unexpended balance; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the Montgomery County Legislature hereby approves providing their 25 percent (25%) local share of the unexpended balance for the 2015 Student Union Improvements project; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is contingent upon passage of a similar resolution by the Fulton County Board of Supervisors.
