Effective immediately, and for a period through at least Tuesday, July 31st, Board of Supervisor's Member John Thayer has issued an emergency declaration which prohibits ANY outdoor fires.
This BURN BAN includes burn barrels and outdoor fireplaces, without exception. Conditions will be monitored and appropriate action will be taken to enforce this ban, should it be necessary.
After consultation with the Sheriff and the Director of Emergency Management/Fire Coordinator, it was determined that conditions in the County warranted this action to protect life and property within the County.
