An Executive Order issued by the Governor requires each county board of elections to mail an application to request an absentee ballot for the upcoming June 23rd primary election. If a voter’s registration record shows that they are eligible to vote in the party holding an election during June 23rd primary they will automatically receive the application.
If an eligible voter would like an absentee ballot sent to them, they need to complete the application, (check temporary illness as the reason if you are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic) and mail it back to the Board of Elections as soon as possible. Printable applications available here. It must be received by the Board of Elections no later than June 16 to receive a ballot by mail. If a voter has already applied, they do not need to apply again.
Voters with a disability choosing to vote absentee and who wish to mark their ballot independently using the Ballot Marking Device may do so at the Board of Elections office located at 9 Park St, Fonda NY during normal business hours.
