Please mark your calendars and come celebrate with us as the Town of Minden will hold its 4th annual Minden History Day Fair. This year we will be celebrating Minden's 220th Anniversary! This event will again be held at the Harry Hoag Elementary School in Fort Plain, located at 25 High Street. This event will be held on Saturday, June 2nd 2018 from 10AM to 4PM.
The event is a chance for local history enthusiasts to show their collections and exchange information on the history of Fort Plain, Town of Minden and greater Montgomery County.
Those with large collections may reserve table space for exhibition but residents are encouraged to bring their own interesting "pieces of history" for viewing and discussion.
This year's event will include many exhibits and demonstrations, among them are 18th century children's toys and games, a historical children's costume parade, a showing of the movie "Drums Along the Mohawk", local collections, ice cream by Stewart's Shops and many more activities and presentations. Please share what you have or stop up and enjoy the activities and local displays of our history.
For additional information or to set up a table for your collections or presentation, please call Rob Carter, Town of Minden Historian at 518-993-1023 or send an email to mindenhistorian@yahoo.com. Don't forget to mark your calendars for this wonderful celebration of history.
