Election Worker Application






I am interested in working as one of the following Election Workers:
 

Are you currently 18 years old and registered to vote?   

Are you related to or are you an elected official in NY State?   

Do you have your own transportation?   

Are you bi-lingual?   




What tasks will you perform as an Election Worker

  • Set up the voting site for voting
  • Process the voters
  • Demonstrate voting procedures to voters
  • Assist voters if requested
  • Break down voting site after voting
  • Report the election results

Compensation

You’ll be paid for training; $15 per hour for working an election.

Training

Training sessions are scheduled at various times during the months of May-June and are approximately two and half hours long. Your attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory to be eligible to work.

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Election Worker. Conducting elections is a big job, each year the Montgomery County Board of Elections utilizes 160-200 Election Workers in various capacities. You can get involved and become a proud participant in a process that is the foundation of democracy in our county.
