RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND AUTHORIZING FUNDING PROJECTS INCLUDED IN THE 2025 CAPITAL PLAN (COUNTY LEGISLATURE)

WHEREAS, Montgomery County has a proposed Capital Plan for 2025 which was reviewed and recommended by the Capital Project Committee and adopted with the 2025 Operating Budget; and

WHEREAS, the following projects are included in the proposed Capital Plan: new DPW equipment ($300,000), critical building maintenance projects ($300,000), and Public Safety improvements ($110,000); and

WHEREAS, the Capital Projects Committee recommended that fund balance be utilized for critical maintenance expenditures, equipment purchases and Public Safety improvements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature hereby adopts the proposed 2025 Capital Plan; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature desires to use fund balance for the funding of Critical Maintenance ($300,000), DPW Equipment purchases ($300,000) and the Public Safety improvements ($110,000); and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2025 Operating Budget as follows:

INCREASE:
A-599	Appropriated Fund Balance	$710,000
INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS:
A-06-4-9900-00-9950	Transfer to Capital Projects	$710,000
