RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2023 OPERATING BUDGET - CARRY OVER GRANT FUNDS - CORONAVIRUS CRISIS RESPONSE FUNDS - COVID 19 (PUBLIC HEALTH)

WHEREAS, the Montgomery County Legislature accepted COVID Grant funds per Resolution #124 of 2021; and

WHEREAS, the 2021-2023 COVID 19 grant funds, for the period of January 1, 2021- December 31, 2022 were appropriated in the 2022 Public Health Budget; and

WHEREAS, threre are unexpended 2022 COVID 19 grant funds available to carryover to the 2023 Public Health budget.

RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 223 Operating Budget as follows:

INCREASE REVENUES:
A-16-3-3401-09	Public Health Grant - COVID 19 Grant	$75,056.58

INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS:
A-16-4-4010-09-4490	Public Health Grant - Special Costs	$75,056.58

Statement of Legislative and Financial Impact:

I. Nature of Request:

To carryover unspent 2022 grant funds to the current 2023 budget.

II. Justification:

To utilize available COVID 19 grant funds for approved NYSDOH expenditures.

III. Legislative Impact:

Purusant to Article 2 of the Charter, Montgomery County Legislature has the power to make appropriations.

IV. Financial Impact:

No financial impact the general fund as any appropriations are offset by grant funds.
