RESOLUTION GRANTING $300,000 OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS TO THE VILLAGE OF CANAJOHARIE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS TO WINTERGREEN PARK (COUNTY LEGISLATURE)

WHEREAS, Montgomery County received American Rescue Plan funds; an
WHEREAS, Montgomery County has been working with Venesky Group, a consultant, that has affirmed that a grant to the Village of Canajoharie for infrastructure improvements to Wintergreen Park is an allowable use of American Rescue Plan Funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes and directs that a grant be awarded to the Village of Canajoharie, in the amount of $300,000 for infrastructure improvements to Wintergreen Park; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Executive is authorized and directed to execute any necessary grant documents to implement this resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2022 Operating Budget as follows:

I. Nature of Request:
Granting $300,000 of American Rescue Plan Funds to the Village of Canajoharie for infrastructure improvements to Wintergreen Park.
II. Justification:
American Rescue Plan funds County were awarded to Montgomery
III. Legislative Impact:
Authorized pursuant to Article 2 of the Montgomery County Charter and further authorized by the parameters of the use of the American Rescue Plan Funds.
IV. Financial Impact:
The funds used for this grant will be American Rescue Plan Funds.
