RESOLUTION VOTE, passed with Aye(9). (10/1/2019)
I. Nature of Request:
RESOLUTION AMENDING 2019 OPERATING BUDGET – (SHERIFF'S OFFICE)
II. Justification:
Unfortunately it has been determined that we are short $27,500 to cover the maintenance agreement for Black Creek which is the operating system for the Correctional Facility.
The Sheriff's office IT person indicates that the budget was completed prior to him arriving as an employee and all of his research shows that it was never budgeted for 2019. This is a necessary maintenance agreement in order to keep our system operating properly. Thankfully we have this line that we can move money from so we are not seeking any additional funds.
III. Legislative Impact:
Pursuant to section 2.04 (b) of the charter the Montgomery County Legislature has the power to make appropriations.
IV. Financial Impact:
There should be no financial impact on the actual budget just transfers.
