RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE-PT (SHERIFF)

WHEREAS, currently the Sheriff's department is experiencing recruitment difficulty when looking for part time Registered Nurses (RN); and

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has a need to establish the position of Licensed Practical Nurse-PT; and

WHEREAS, the Sheriff hereby requests the establishment of the position of Licensed Practical Nurse-PT at a rate of $19.6350 per hour comparable to Grade I in the CSEA bargaining agreement; and

WHEREAS, the addition of the position LPN PT will not affect the budget at all as they will be paid out of the same established line as the RN-PT, A-15-4-3150-00-1120-1342 Registered Professional Nurse PT; and

WHEREAS, this line is budgeted for the expenditure of $20,000 for the year 2019; and

RESOLVED, the Montgomery County Legislature hereby authorizes and creates the position of Licensed Practical Nurse LPN-PT at a rate of $19.6350 per hour comparable to Grade I in the CSEA bargaining agreement.

II. Justification:

To offer a continuation of services. We will continue to work within budget and are not seeking any further money at this time.

III. Legislative Impact:

IV. Financial Impact:

There should be no financial impact for this resolution. These are PT positions and will be paid out of an existing budgeted line.
