LOCAL LAW NO. 4 OF THE YEAR 1984 - A LOCAL LAW ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL SALARY FOR COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC WORKS

(INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW NO. 10 OF 1984)
A LOCAL LAW ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL SALARY
FOR COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC WORKS
BE IT ENACTED BY the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Montgomery as follows:

Section I (a) The annual salary of the following Officer is hereby
fixed at the sum opposite the office and designation of such County
Officer to wit:

Commissioner of Public Works $38,000

(b) For the balance of the year 1984 on and after the
effective date of this local law, the fore going officer shall be paid at
such a rate which when added to amounts paid during the year 1984
prior to such effective date, will equal the annual salary fixed for
such office.

Section 2 This Local Law is subject to a permissive referendum,
and will be submitted to a vote of qualified electors of the County of
Montgomery if within 45 days after the date on which it was so
adopted there is filed with the Clerk of the Montgomery County Board
of Supervisors a petition protesting against this Local Law, signed and
authenticated as required by Section 24 of the Municipal Home Rule
Law, by qualified electors of Montgomery County registered to vote
therein at the last preceding general election, in number equal to at
least ten per centum of the total number of votes cast for Governor at
the last gubernatorial election held in said County.
A motion was made by Supervisor Barone/seconded by Supervisor
Brown to Suspend the Rules of Procedure and place Resolution #227
'Resolution in Opposition to New York State Mandatory Seat Belt
Law" on the floor. Motion passed unanimously.
