Local Law NO. 1
SECTION 1 (a) The annual salaries of the following County Officers are
Hereby fixed at the sum opposite the office and designation of such County
Officers to wit:

Commissioners of Elections $5,000
County Administrator $32,000
Clerk of Board $5,000
Deputy County Administrator $20,330
County Auditor $13,910
Director of Real Property Tax $20,200
Personnel Officer $16,200
Commissioner of Social Services $30,174

(b) For the balance of the year 1985 on and after the effective
date of this local law, the foregoing officer shall be paid at such a rate
which when added to amounts paid during the year 1985 prior to such effective
date, will equal the annual salary fixed for such office.

Section 2 This Local Law is subject to a permissive referendum, and
will be submitted to a vote of qualified electors of the County of Montgomery
if within 45 days after the date on which it was so adopted there is filed with
the Clerk of the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors a petition protesting
against this Local Law, signed and authenticated as required by Section 24 of
the Municipal Home Rule Law, by qualified electors of Montgomery County
registered to vote therein at the last preceding general election, in number
equal to at least ten per centum of the total number of votes cast for
Governor at the last gubernatorial election held in said County.
