A LOCAL LAW TO ABOLISH THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE COUNTY OF MONTGOMERY
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery as follows:
SECTION 1. The County of Montgomery, pursuant to the provisions of Section 16 of the Civil Service Law of the State of New York does hereby elect to change the form of administration of the civil service in Montgomery County from administration by a civil service commission to administration by a personnel officer.
SECTION 2. The Civil Service Commission of the County of Montgomery is hereby abolished one year after the date of the adoption of this local law.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
