RESOLUTION AUTHORIZNG THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO SIGN RENEWAL AGREEMENT - EASTERN MEDICAL SUPPORT (PERSONNEL)

WHEREAS, Montgomery County requires that employees have a pre-employment physical/drug screen; and 

WHEREAS, the County is also required to comply with Department of Transportation mandates placed upon Montgomery County for all CDL drivers; and

WHEREAS, the Personnel Officer has recommended entering into a contract allowing Eastern Medical Support to provide Montgomery County physical examinations and also administer the County's Drug and Alcohol CDL Testing Program; and

WHEREAS, Eastern Medical Support provides a professional service; and

WHEREAS, Eastern Medical Support is currently already under contract with the County to provide the stated services and entering into a contract through 2018 allows a continuity of services; and

RESOLVED, that Montgomery County Legislature Herby authorized and directs the County Executive, following the review and approval of the County Attorney, to sign an agreement with Eastern Medical Support to provide physical examinations and administer the Drug and Alcohol CDL Testing Program; and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that said agreement is for a period commencing on January 1, 2016 and ending on December 31, 2018.
