RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION - NEW YORK MAIN STREET TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANT - WEST HILL SCHOOL (OFFICE OF THE LEGISLATURE)

WHEREAS, the Mohawk Valley Collective, Inc. is seeking funding through the Consolidated Funding Application process for a New York Main Street (NYMS) Technical Assistance grant to restore the West Hill School at 3 Otsego Street, Canajoharie NY; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Canajoharie Board considers this building not only unique architecturally, but as a part of its heritage and the revitalization of this building will coincide with the efforts to revitalize the Village and maintain its 19th century atmosphere; and

WHEREAS, obtaining the New York Main Street (NYMS) Technical Assistance grant will help them make informed decisions regarding the feasibility of rehabilitation projects.

RESOLVED, the Montgomery County Legislature hereby supports the Mohawk Valley Collective, Inc. in their efforts to obtain grant funding for the restoration of the West Hill School.
