RESOLUTION ADOPTING INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW #4 OF 2013 - A LOCAL LAW AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF COUNTY-OWNED PROPERTY, NOT NEEDED FOR A COUNTY PURPOSE - TOWN OF AMSTERDAM (TREASURER)

WHEREAS, on June 25, 2013 a proposed Local Law for the County of Montgomery, entitled:  “A Local Law Authorizing the Private Sale of County-Owned Property, Not Needed for a County Purpose” (Town of Amsterdam) was presented to the Board of Supervisors for consideration, and

WHEREAS, on June 25, 2013 Resolution No. 136 of 2013 was adopted authorizing and directing that a public hearing be held by the Board of Supervisors on the 23rd day of July 2013, at the time and place appointed, and

WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held,

RESOLVED, that said Local Law, known as Introductory Local Law No. 4 of 2013, entitled:  “A Local Law Authorizing the Private Sale of County-Owned Property, Not Needed for a County Purpose” (Town of Amsterdam) hereby is adopted and is incorporated as follows:

Introductory Local Law No. 4 of 2013 - A Local Law Authorizing the Private Sale of County-Owned Property, Not Needed for a County Purpose - Town of Amsterdam

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery as follows:

SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery has determined that County-owned real property parcel, known as SBL 37.12-1-41, located in the Town of Amsterdam is no longer necessary for public use.

SECTION 2.  The Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery hereby authorizes the conveyance of all the right, title and interest of the County in and to said real property to John H. Hobbs for the sum of $526.00, and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors hereby is authorized and directed to file one certified copy thereof in the Office of the Secretary of State and to ensure that it is published in the County’s designated newspapers, as required by law.

RESOLUTION VOTE, passed with Aye(1817).  Supervisor Sullivan was absent. (7/23/2013)
