RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2012 - A LOCAL LAW AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF COUNTY-OWNED PROPERTY, NOT NEEDED FOR A COUNTY PURPOSE - TOWN OF CANAJOHARIE (TREASURER)

WHEREAS, on June 19,  2012 a proposed Local Law for the County of Montgomery, entitled: “A Local Law Authorizing The Private Sale Of County-Owned Property, Not Needed For A County Purpose - Town Of Canajoharie” was presented to the Board of Supervisors for consideration, and

WHEREAS, on June 26, 2012 Resolution No. 146 of 2012 was adopted authorizing and directing that a Public Hearing be held by the Board of Supervisors on the 24th day of July 2012, at the time and place appointed, and

WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held,

RESOLVED, that Introductory Local Law No. 1 of 2012 hereby is submitted to the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors for consideration, following the holding of a public hearing, as follows:

Introductory Local Law No. 1 of 2012 - A Local Law Authorizing the Private Sale of County-Owned Property, Not Needed for a County Purpose - Town of Canajoharie

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery as follows:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery has determined that County-owned real property parcels, known as SBL’s 63.63-2-7, 63.63-2-8 and 63.63-2-9, located in the Town of Canajoharie are no longer necessary for public use, and

SECTION 2. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Montgomery hereby authorizes the conveyance of all the right, title and interest of the County in and to said real properties to Village of Canajoharie.

RESOLUTION VOTE, passed with Aye(1768).  Supervisor Strevy was absent. (7/24/2012)
