RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2024 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE POSITION OF HUMAN RESOURCES LABOR RELATION SPECIALIST (PERSONNEL)

WHEREAS, resolution no. 299 of 2023 reclassified the position of part time Director of Labor Management Relations to full time Human Resources Labor Relations Specialist; and
WHEREAS, the position of Human Resources Labor Relations Specialist will have a base salary for 2024 of $52,182; and
WHEREAS, the approval of resolution no. 299 in 2023 was passed after the adoption of the 2024 Operating Budget.
RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2024 Operating Budget as follows:

AMENDING 2024 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE RECLASSIFICATION OF THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF LABOR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS TO HUMAN RESOURCES LABOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST
II. Justification:
Director position became vacant near end of 2023 and new position requested to assume the duties required of position
III. Legislative Impact:
Pursuant to Article 2 of the Montgomery County Charter, the Montgomery County Legislature has the authority to amend the operating budget.
IV. Financial Impact:
The financial impact is covered within the operating budget.
