Notice is hereby given that the Montgomery County Legislature will conduct a Public Hearing in the Chambers of the County Legislature, County Office Building, 64 Broadway, Fonda, New York at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. All interested parties and citizens will be heard.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the recommendations of the Montgomery County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board regarding the modification of Agricultural District # 1, an Agricultural District consisting of the Towns of Minden, Canajoharie and Villages of Fort Plain, Canajoharie and Ames, for a period of eight (8) years.

The proposed modification is to include all viable agricultural land in the Towns of Minden, Canajoharie and Villages of Fort Plain, Canajoharie and Ames in Agricultural District #1. A description and map of said district and recommendations made thereto, may be examined in the Department of Economic Development and Planning, Room 210, Old County Courthouse Building, Fonda, New York.

This public hearing is in person, however, members of the public may also participate in the public hearing by calling 1-872-240-3212 Access Code 249-444-725.   Minutes of the meeting will be transcribed and later posted on the Montgomery County website at www.co.montgomery.ny.us
