NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2017 NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF COMMUNITY RENEWAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

To all Residents of Montgomery County, be it known that on November 28 at 6:50 P.M. Montgomery County will hold a public hearing at the Legislative Chambers in the County Building at 64 Broadway, Fonda, NY 12068 to discuss an application under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR) administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for the State of New York. The NYS CDBG program provides financial assistance to eligible cities, villages and towns in order to develop viable communities by providing decent, affordable housing, and suitable living environments, as well as expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low to moderate income. Montgomery County intends to submit an application for $250,000 under the CDBG program (economic development category) to facilitate the creation and attendant job creation of the proposed Vida Blend, LLC. project in the Town of Florida, New York.
