WHEREAS, the Department of Weights and Measures wishes to enter into a contract with NYS Ag and Markets to be reimbursed for petroleum sampling; and
WHEREAS, this contract will result in an overall revenue of approximately $28, 325 over five years to Montgomery County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Executive, upon review and approval of the County Attorney, is authorized and directed to enter into a contract with NYS Ag and Markets to conduct petroleum sampling for a five year term.

WHEREAS, Section 119-o of the General Municipal Law permits municipal corporations to enter into agreements for the performance amongst themselves or one for the other of their respective functions, powers and duties on a cooperative or contract basis or for the provision of joint services, and
WHEREAS, Montgomery County and its Sheriff's Office and Fulton County and its Sheriff's Office have determined that it is in the best interests of the respective municipalities to enter into an agreement for the provision of interagency law enforcement services on a day-to-day basis,
RESOLVED, that Montgomery County Executive is hereby is authorized and directed, following review and approval by the County Attorney, to sign a Public Safety Mutual Aid Agreement with Fulton County and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

I. Nature of Request:
RESOLUTION AMENDING 2024 OPERATING BUDGET – CARRY OVER 2022 STATEWIDE INTEROPERABLE COMMUNICATIONS GRANT TARGETED PROGRAM
II. Justification:
The 2022 SICG Grant will allow us to continue to upgrade and improve our radio tower sites and to be more efficient for the radio service provided and the equipment being utilized and stored. The other parts of the project will help improve our Supervisor channel on the Simulcast System and the microwave system that will allow us to monitor all of the sites in the County and it will alert if there is an issue.
III. Legislative Impact:
Pursuant to section 2.04 (b) of the charter the Montgomery County Legislature has the power to make appropriations.
IV. Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact for this resolution request as this grant is a zero match, however it does allow us to purchase necessary equipment at this time without the use of any county funds!
