WHEREAS, Montgomery County received American Rescue Plan funds; and
WHEREAS, one of the approved uses of American Rescue Plan funds by the federal government is under the standard allowance for government services; and
WHEREAS, Montgomery County has been working with Venesky Group,a consultant, that has affirmed that using 50k for tourism is an allowable use of American Rescue Plan Funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes and directs that $50,000 of American Rescue Plan funds be used for tourism ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2022 Operating Budget as follows:

WHEREAS, Montgomery County received American Rescue Plan funds; and
WHEREAS, American Rescue Plan funds by the federal government can be used under the standard allowance for government services; and
WHEREAS, the Montgomery County Emergency management needs a response vehicle and additional communication and GPS equipment; and
WHEREAS, Montgomery County has been working with Venesky Group, a consultant, that has affirmed that using $65,000 for a response vehicle and additional communication and GPS equipment is an allowable use of the American Rescue Plan funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes and directs using $65,000 of American Rescue Plan funds for the purchase of a response vehicle and additional communication and GPS equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes a purchase of a 2023 Ford F350 Crew Cab from state contact #PC 68985 SB not to exceed $55,000 and the GPS and communications equipment at an estimated cost of 10k; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Montgomery County Executive is authorized and directed to execute any necessary documents to effectuate this purchase of the vehicle; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2022 Operating Budget as follows:

WHEREAS, Montgomery County received American Rescue Plan funds; and
WHEREAS, one of the approved uses of American Rescue Plan funds by the federal goverment was for grants for HVAC improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Creative Connections Clubhouse needs a COVID-19 compliant HVAC system as the facility’s current HVAC system is outdated and unreliable, causing ventilation to be extremely poor; and
WHEREAS, improving ventilation through an investment of a new HVAC system would be a preventative and pro-active measure that could help mitigate future outbreaks; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends upgrading ventilation systems to reduce this risk.; and
WHEREAS, Montgomery County has been working with Venesky Group,a consultant, that has affirmed that a grant to the Creative Connections Clubhouse for HVAC upgrades is an allowable use of American Rescue Plan Funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes and directs that a grant be awarded to the Creative Connections Clubhouse in the amount of $80,000 for HVAC improvements; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Executive is authorized and directed to execute any necessary grant documents to implement this resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to amend the 2022 Operating Budget as follows:

RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POSITION OF A FULL-TIME REAL PROPERTY TAX SERVICE AIDE AND ELIMINATING THE POSITION OF THE PART-TIME REAL PROPERTY TAX SERVICE AIDE (REAL PROPERTY)

WHEREAS, the Director of Real Property has reassessed the staffing needs in the Office of Real Property and has determined that changing a part-time position to a full-time position is warranted for continued efficiency and future potential growth of the department; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the position of a Real Property Tax Service Aide would be beneficial to the office of Real Property, allowing the department to better serve the public, other Montgomery County departments and the Towns within Montgomery County, including the local Assessors; and
WHEREAS, the part-time position of Information Specialist shall be eliminated to allow for the Real Property Tax Service Aide position to be created; and
WHEREAS, the title of Real Property Tax Service Aide shall be established in the CSEA Unit, Grade E, at a base salary of $35,839; and
RESOLVED, that the title of part-time Information Specialist be eliminated from the Real Property Tax Service Agency; and it be further
RESOLVED, that the the Montgomery County Legislature hereby establish the position of a full-time Real Property Tax Service Aide as follows:

RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 80 OF 2020 (COUNTY LEGISLATURE)

WHEREAS, Resolution 80 of 2020 authorized the subdivision of 68 Church Street in the Village of Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York (Tax Map Parcel No. 63.14-1-9.1) into two parcels; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a three parcel subdivision would be more beneficial.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the RESOLVED clause of Resolution 80 of 2020 is amended to read as follows:'
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Legislature authorizes moving forward with subdividing 68 Church Street in the Village of Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York (Tax Map Parcel No. 63.14-1-9.1) into three parcels, one being the east side of the creek that transects the property, one being a parcel adjacent to the west side of the creek and the northern portion of the property on the west side of the creek, and one containing the remainder of the propertyl on the west side of the creek and directs County authorities to sign any necessary documents to effectuate this resolution.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Audit Guidelines, Section 2.02 (2), requires after examination and review of the claims by the County Auditor, and there being no objection to any of the claims by any committee or Board member, shall move that the claims as audited are approved and presented to the Board for approval of payment; and
WHEREAS, the County Auditor has audited claims for the period of April 27, 2022 through May 24, 2022 and the County Auditor recommends the payment of the claims as attached hereto in the "Abstract of Audited Claims".
RESOLVED, after examination and review of the claims by the County Auditor, the claims are audited and attached hereto, are hereby approved for payment by the Montgomery County Legislature.
