Chairman Brian D. Sweet has called a meeting of the Education/Government Committee for 6:04 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in the Legislative Chambers, County Office Building, 64 Broadway, Fonda, New York 12068. 

In conjunction with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order this meeting will also be held electronically via teleconference on April 20, 2021 at 6:04 pm.  Members of the public may participate in the public hearing by attending or by calling 1-312-757-3121, Access Code 456-944-325. Minutes of the hearing will be transcribed and later posted on the Montgomery County website at www.co.montgomery.ny.us.

RECOMMENDATION:
     

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR FMCC FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY LAB PROJECT


Resolution by Legislator: Sweet
Seconded by: Pepe

WHEREAS, Fulton County’s 2021 Capital Plan contains an appropriation of $200,000 for the FMCC Financial Technology Lab Project; and 

WHEREAS, JMZ Architects and Planners, P.C. have been retained by the FM Foundation to provide cost estimating, bidding and construction management services for the project; and 

WHEREAS, there are no County dollars associated with this project; and

WHEREAS, any additional funding for the project shall be borne by the FM Foundation.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the FMCC Financial Technology Lab Project, and be it further 

RESOLVED, that the following is the Bid Schedule:

Advertise for Bids:  April 28, 2021
Open Bids:  May 26, 2021
Award Contracts:  June 14, 2021

The Montgomery County Legislature is authorized to pass this Resolution in support pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Montgomery County Charter.


III. Legislative Impact:

Authorized pursuant to Article 2 of the Montgomery County Charter.


IV. Financial Impact:

There are no county dollars associated with this project.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT OF THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (COUNTY LEGISLATURE)

WHEREAS, Resolution 173 of 2017 authorized entering into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency (hereinafter "EPA") to release the liens and the right of redemption EPA had against 68 Church Street; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to clarify this Memorandum of Agreement to establish a practice for disbursement of funds and to clarify that subdivision is allowed of the property.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Montgomery County Executive is authorized and directed to sign an amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement with EPA.

IV. Financial Impact:

No impact as this is a clarification to an exisiting MOA.
