I. Nature of Request:
This grant is provided to Montgomery County in order to assist with emergency preparedness specifcally for COVID 19. We will utilize it to purchase N95 mask and isolation gowns for our stock pile.
II. Justification:
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FY2020 STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE SUPPLEMENTAL COVID 19 GRANT(EMPG-S) FROM NYS HOMELAND SECURITY AND AMENDING THE 2020 OPERATING BUDGET (EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT)
III. Legislative Impact:
Authorized pursuant to Article 2 of the Montgomery County Charter.
IV. Financial Impact:
The financial impact for this resolution is that it requires a 50/50 match which is currently not in the Emergency Management budget and would require $10,979.00 from the fund balance, the benefit is that we will be able to restock our supply of N95 mask and isolation gowns to pre-pandemic levels.
