Primarily an agricultural
community, the Town of Florida, with a population of over 2,700, has recently
seen an increase in houses being built as well as an increase in the amount of
unplanted farmland. While visiting the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site
and Visitors Center, be sure and look into historic lodging at one of the Towns
Bed and Breakfasts.
