Advancing Tobacco- Free Communities (ATFC)
This task force is a three County (Montgomery, Hamilton and Fulton Counties) coalition. The main goals of this coalition are to prevent and reduce tobacco use, reduce youth exposure to harmful tobacco marketing in retail settings, limit exposure to secondhand smoke, and reduce smoking imagery through the media.

 

Cancer Services Program of Fulton & Montgomery Counties
Cancer Services Program of Fulton & Montgomery Counties works with local health care providers and community based organizations to promote comprehensive screening for colorectal, breast and cervical cancer to eligible men and women. The purpose of screening is to detect cancer at its earliest stages when treatment is more effective.

County Early Intervention/Pre-School Administrator Committee (CEIPAC)
The counties in the Northeast region review EI and Preschool guidelines and discuss state and local updates for the Early Intervention Program and Preschool Program.

Ful-Mont Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (Ful-Mont VOAD)

Ful-Mont VOAD is a partnership of different organizations and different governmental departments within Fulton and Montgomery Counties. These groups come together because they all play an important part in the phases of disaster preparedness, response, recovery and /or mitigation.

 

Head Start Health Advisory Committee

This committee is to advise in the planning, operation and evaluation of the health/nutrition and safety program for Head Start participants.

 

Immunization Action Plan Consortia IV
Immunization Action Plan Consortia IV includes Albany, Columbia, Delaware, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Otsego, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Schoharie County NYSACHO and NYSDOH Immunization staff. The group meets to discuss concerns and receive state and local updates on children and adult immunizations.

Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council (LEICC)
The group meets to discuss concerns and promote awareness of the needs of children with developmental delays.

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meets to conduct County wide emergency preparedness planning.

Long Term Care Advisory Council
The task force conducts long term care system planning and development in order to ensure achievement of the goals and objectives of Montgomery County NY Connects.

Montgomery County Allies in Prevention (MCAP)
MCAP is a coalition developed to build a healthier Montgomery County through collaboration among community partners.

Montgomery County EMS Advisory
It’s purpose shall be to assess/evaluate the public needs as to emergency medical services. To develop and implement a Comprehensive Emergency Medical Services Plan for the County in order to develop and maintain programs for EMS training, EMS-related activities and mutual aid emergencies in which the services of EMS providers would be used. Cooperates with appropriate state agencies in furthering such programs. Acts as an advisory board to the County Legislature and to the Montgomery County EMS Coordinator. Participates in such programs for EMS training, EMS-related activities and Mutual aid and Mutual aid programs in case of emergencies in which the services of EMS Providers would be used. Performs other duties as may be prescribed with relation to the function of the EMS Advisory Board.

Pediatric Asthma Coalition of the Capital Region
Pediatric Asthma Coalition of the Capital Region serves Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties. Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Services in Albany serves as the lead agency for the coalition. The coalition works together to improve the care of asthmatic children living in the greater capital region.

The Red Ribbon Partnership of Fulton & Montgomery County
The Red Ribbon Partnership of Fulton & Montgomery County encourages community involvement in affairs related to HIV & AIDS. Provides emergency financial needs and transportation assistance to people affected with the virus. Activities include: Educational awareness throughout the community on HIV/AIDS/poster contests.

Rural Adult Immunization Coalition of Schoharie, Otsego, Montgomery, Fulton and Delaware Counties
Rural Adult Immunization Coalition of Schoharie, Otsego, Montgomery, Fulton and Delaware Counties meets to raise awareness of the importance of adult immunization thereby reducing the spread of vaccine preventable diseases through immunization. Through coordination of programs and services within the five counties, this group provides and promotes education to the public and health care professionals to increase access to services and resources.

Rural Health Education Network of Schoharie, Otsego and Montgomery Counties (RHENSOM)
Rural Health Education Network of Schoharie, Otsego and Montgomery Counties (RHENSOM) is designed to provide health education and information that promotes a healthy lifestyle to the above rural areas. The focus is on healthy eating and exercises as a means to prevent obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic diseases; provides education about these issues; dental education health program for elementary children; promotion of rural healthcare careers to area high school and college students.

Safe Kids of the Capital District
Safe Kids of the Capital District is a global network of organizations whose mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury, a leading killer of children birth to 14 years of age.

Suicide Prevention Task Force of Fulton and Montgomery Counties

Suicide Prevention Task Force of Fulton and Montgomery Counties Is an active coalition with a diverse membership dedicated to maintaining community wide suicide awareness, education, and prevention.

 

Traffic Safety Board
Traffic Safety Board meets to discuss traffic safety concerns and stop DWI. The Board sponsors a Traffic Safety Day each year.
