HEALTH EDUCATION

The education of county residents is an important component of the Public Health Department. The Public Health Educator, the Nursing staff, the Community Health Worker and the Coordinated Children’s Services staff provide health education. Education takes place on home visits, during clinics, in coordination with other departments, during various health fairs and community events, as well as through the media. Through coordination with other area agencies and organizations, health education is provided through out the county.
