Montgomery Area Xpress Announces Route Changes

Fonda, NY, June 11, 2009 - Effective Monday June 29, 2009, the Montgomery Area Xpress (The MAX) is adjusting service levels on routes and trips. These adjustments are being made after a thorough performance review of each route. As such, additions are being made to meet the needs of riders as well as modifications to routes during the time of day when ridership is documented as very low. These changes are being made to improve the efficiency of The MAX service and to help meet budgetary challenges. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of adjustment.

West Route - Run 1, 3, 5, 7 - St. Johnsville to Fonda - Monday through Friday

• St. Johnsville at Kinney Drug - 5:00am, 7:00am, 10:50am, 3:30pm
• Fort Plain behind Save-A-Lot - 5:15am, 7:15am, 11:05am, 3:45pm
• Palatine Bridge at Price Chopper - 5:20am, 7:20am, 11:10am, 3:50pm
• Canajoharie at the Village Parking Lot - 5:30am, 7:30am, 11:20am, 4:00pm
• Fultonville at Midwest Canvas/Perrone Leather - 7:50am
• Fonda at the Montgomery County Annex Building - 7:55am, 11:40am, 12:55pm, 4:25pm
• Fonda at the Montgomery County Office Building - 6:00am, 8:00am, 11:45am, 4:30pm

West Route - Run 3 & 5 - St. Johnsville to Amsterdam - Tuesday & Thursday Only

• Amsterdam Family Practice - 8:50am, 12:10pm
• Target - Route 30 - 8:55am, 12:15pm
• St. Mary's Hospital - Amsterdam Memorial Campus - 9:00am, 12:20pm
• Price Chopper/Walmart - 9:05am, 12:25pm
• St. Mary's Hospital - 9:15am, 12:35pm

West Route - Run 2, 4, 6, 8 - Fonda to St. Johnsville - Monday through Friday

• Fonda at the Montgomery County Office Building - 6:00am, 9:30am, 12:50pm, 4:30pm
• Fonda at Kasson & Keller/Keymark - 6:05am, 4:35pm
• Fonda at the Montgomery County Annex Building - 6:10am, 9:35am, 12:55pm
• Fultonville at Midwest Canvas/Perrone Leather - 4:40pm
• Canajoharie at the Village Parking Lot - 6:30am, 10:00am, 1:20pm, 5:00pm
• Palatine Bridge at Price Chopper - 6:40am, 10:10am, 1:30pm, 5:10pm
• Fort Plain behind Save-A-Lot - 6:45am, 10:15am, 1:35pm, 5:15pm
• St. Johnsville at Kinney Drug - 7:00am, 10:30am, 1:50pm, 5:30pm

East Route - Run 7 - Amsterdam to Fonda - Monday through Friday
Stop #6 only at the Montgomery County Annex Building at 4:25pm will be cancelled.
