Montgomery Area Xpress Announces Route Changes
Effective Monday April 20, 2009, the Montgomery Area Xpress (The MAX) is adjusting service levels on routes and trips. These adjustments are being made after a thorough performance review of each route. As such, modifications are being made to routes during the time of day when ridership is documented as very low. These changes are being made to improve the efficiency of The MAX service and to help meet budgetary challenges. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of adjustment.
East #1 - Amsterdam to Fonda - 5:30AM - This route will be cancelled.
East #2 - Fonda to Amsterdam - 6:00AM - This route will be cancelled.
East #5 - Amsterdam to Fonda - 10:30AM - This route will be cancelled.
East #6 - Fonda to Amsterdam - 11:00AM - This route will be cancelled.
East #9 & 10 - all stops will remain the same and will also include a new stop at Stewart's on the corner of State Highway 5S and Venner Road, Amsterdam.
West Run - St. Johnsville to Fonda - All Routes-
There will be no other changes to the Western route.
