Montgomery County has suffered widespread flood related damage. All departments are now open. Emergency services such as Fire, Sheriff and Public Health have not been interrupted. Click the County Department Status Page link for the status of other departments.

911 should be used to report life threatening emergencies ONLY!  To report non-life threatening situations to the Sheriff's office please dial 853-5500.

8/4/2006 - FEMA has advised us that when applying for benefits you need to call both the FEMA and the New York State Individual and Family Grant Program phone lines. Please see the Flood Victim Resources page for those numbers.

Montgomery County Chairman of the Board Thomas L. Quackenbush is making his office available to all residents of Montgomery County that have concerns with state and federal response to our recent flood. We will provide you with the appropriate contact numbers for state and federal assistance.

Residents may call his office at 853-4304 between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday and on the weekends at his home number of [redacted].

The Chairman would also like to encourage people to check on the elderly or home-confined neighbors.

The Annex and other flooded buildings have been reoccupied. The information line at [redacted] is no longer being manned. If you need to contact the county and cannot get the department in question, you may call 853-4304.
