8/17/2006 - The Disaster Assistance Service Center at the Fonda/Fultonville school is closed. The center being hosted at the Fort Plain Senior Citizen's Center will be open the week of August 21, 2006

7/21/2006 - (SUPERSEDED) The Disaster Assistance Service Center at Fonda-Fultonville CSD Campus is being closed, with the exception of the US Small Business Administration which will be available Monday through Friday from 9AM to 6PM. 7/14/2006 - Montgomery County Chairman of the Board Thomas L. Quackenbush is making his office available to all residents of Montgomery County that have concerns with state and federal response to our recent flood. His office will provide you with the appropriate contact numbers for state and federal assistance.
Residents may call his office at 853-4304 between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday and on the weekends at his home number of 993-2798.
The Chairman would also like to encourage people to check on the elderly or home-confined neighbors.

7/7/2006 - The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is coordinating volunteer efforts. You can call them at 842-8200. Donations can be made to "Montgomery County Partnership" (Designate it for "Flood Relief Fund") and mailed to PO Box 309, Amsterdam, NY 12010. You can also drop off donations at NBT bank.

Please call 853-8128 for the following departments: Board of Supervisors, Public Defender, Veteran's, Youth Bureau, Treasurer, Real Property, Purchasing, Auditing, Personnel, Print Shop, Data Processing, History and Archives, Economic Development, Board of Elections.
7/5/2006 8AM - The Public Health Immunization Clinic scheduled for today was cancelled due to the loss of our vaccine in the flood. Clients that were scheduled for today, Wednesday the 5th,are being referred to Fulton County Public Health and their Primary Care Providers. Montgomery County Public Health is currently working with NYS Department of Health regarding our future scheduled Immunization Clinics.
7/4/2006 2PM - Montgomery County has been declared a Federal Disaster Area. Residents may be eligible for Personal Assistance from FEMA.
7/3/2006 - (SUPERSEDED) Fonda-Fultonville middle school is hosting a Disaster Assistance Service Center starting July 4, 2006 from 8AM to 8PM weekdays, 8AM to 5PM weekends.
